Student leadership is a vitally important part of our teams. Student leads have the power to enhance or destroy a subteam or even the entire team’s morale in any given season. Training our student leads with personal skills, relational skills, and leadership skills helps them to truly enhance the team experience for everyone. This is the story of that journey on our team and the success that has been noticed as we have progressed in that journey.

About the Presenter:

Sam Robinson is the Coach of 4488 Shockwave. He has been involved with FIRST Robotics since the 2014 season when he was told, “You are helping with the robotics team.” After attending his first competition he was hooked and has been participating ever since. He took over as coach of 4488 in summer of 2022.
