FIRST Tech Challenge – More than just an outreach opportunity

Come learn about upcoming changes to the FIRST Tech Challenge(FTC) program and why you should consider using FTC as part of your FIRST program. Content will be tailored for established FIRST Robotics Competition(FRC) teams and present three different ways to integrate FTC into your broader program offerings. (1) a middle school development program (2) a recruiting and proving ground for an FRC team (3) a parallel path to a capstone experience.
About Rachel and Allison
Rachel Moore
Rachel is a FIRST Alumni who has been a STEM mentor in Texas for almost 20 years. For the past 11 seasons Rachel has been the team principal for FRC3005 RoboChargers from Dallas TX. The RoboChargers also participate in other project based STEM activities including FIRST Tech Challenge. Rachel received her BS and MS Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University and has previously worked at Texas Instruments and REV Robotics but is super excited to celebrate her one year anniversary of working for FIRST HQ as the FIRST Tech Challenge Senior Director this September!
Allison Kneisler
Allison is FIRST alumni with over 20 years of experience. She is the Team Principal for competitive robotics for the Avondale School District in Michigan, where she serves as the head coach for FRC3538 RoboJackets and is responsible for over 30 FIRST Tech Challenge teams.
