Presenter: Michael Leicht, Team 1403 Cougar Robotics

This Workshop/Presentation is about the iterative improvement in mentoring styles from when I was a student on an FRC team to how I currently mentor. From my transition from student to mentor/engineer I had a realization that mentors don’t just build robots. In order to give my students the best foot forward. I switched up the mentoring style to focus on teaching my students real world life skills that range from Standards, SOP, Document control and everything else you may see in industry to give my students the best chance in industry. These skills and ideas can be used on any team, I will go through my journey with my team to explain how real world skills can be applied to an FRC team.
