Presenter: Jaye Heimlich, FLL Explore Coordinator for NorCal at Playing at Learning (3132/9584)
Neurodiversity is of growing prevalence in today’s students and it should be celebrated that it is becoming more recognised. To continue this growth, we need to continue to spread awareness. In this presentation, we will talk about some of my experiences as a neurodivergent student in school and on an FRC team and how those experiences affected me. A lot of these experiences can shape a person and how they interact with their own students when mentoring and I’ll offer some insight on how you, as mentors, can better understand your own neurodivergent students and support them throughout their time on the team.
