About Blake and Luis

As Lead Mentor for the FIRST Robotics Team 4909 Billerica Bionics, Blake has been instrumental in leading an agile transformation, driving efficiency improvements, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. By coaching student leaders and guiding team members, Blake has consistently delivered exceptional results, propelling the team to success and recognition within the New England region.

Blake started the New England Robotics Derby and serves on the New England District Championship committee. He frequently volunteers as a CSA or FTAA at local events and works to optimize the team experience by debugging technical issues and connecting teams with the resources they need to be successful.

Luis brings more than 25 years of expertise to the engineering sector and presently heads the Cloud Engineering and Program Management teams at Demandbase. His contributions have been pivotal in facilitating agile methodologies and transformation at three distinct companies, promoting the adoption of lean principles throughout.

The pandemic led Luis to discover FIRST and, subsequently, 4909 Bionics. He was captivated by the program’s emphasis on imparting real-world skills to students. Since then, Luis has been a member of the team, driven by his passion for nurturing the next generation of engineers.
